Dr. Michael Harris

His 25+ years of experience in high-risk and high stakes cases and disputes helps him bring a sense of cool and collaboration into the room with you. This is especially helpful when dealing with high-conflict personalities and complex legal issues. As a PhD in Conflict Resolution, Dr. Michael employs a wide-range of dispute resolution tools including: mediation, negotiation, and conciliation. He is skilled in a wide variety of mediation techniques including facilitative, transformative, restorative, and narrative mediation.
Dr. Michael is a Florida Supreme Court certified Circuit Mediator and is licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services to conduct mediations in every Circuit in the State of Florida. He earned his PhD from Nova Southeastern University after completing his MBA and fellowships at Harvard University and Columbia University. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point, Dr. Michael began a career as a U.S. Army Ranger and Special Forces Green Beret. He is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and provides conflict resolution training to a variety of agencies and organizations, including the Tampa Police Department Hostage Negotiation Team.
